BIG DAY OUT GRAVEL BIKING

What you get

This epic, challenging 1-day ride is ideal for adventurous, fit and intermediate + cyclists who regularly ride their bikes or ride for several hours at a time. This ride will cover a long distance and, as the Peak District is the “home of the hill climb”, will contain a lot of climbing and descending. Expect long climbs, short steep climbs, some of which will be off road, and steep twisty, sometimes rough and loose technical descents.

The start point and route varies throughout the year so check the calendar for specific details. The Peak District includes lots of varied gravel bike terrain, including rough bridleways, cobbles, forest tracks, white roads and the world famous disused railways of Monsal, Tissington and High Peak trails. We stitch together some of the very best bits to give you a day packed with highlights.

Specifically….

  • Van support, with the now famous Peak Cycling mobile cafe

  • Multiple climbs and descents on varying terrain

  • Technical riding

  • Expert guiding and leadership

  • Fantastic Scenery

  • We will be out for about 8 - 10 hours and cover 60-80 miles (100km -120km) with over 1500m of climbing
